UFO Story Maker Journey Review and
How to Use
I have worked as a preschool teacher and occupational therapy assistant with school-age children, so I have a good understanding of key elements for helping kiddos learn. Play is the basis for how children learn best and making an activity fun is a prime way to help them engage in a learning project. Letting them be involved and key decision-makers in the learning process can make learning meaningful and help keep crucial information in their long-term memories. When I designed the UFO and Butterfly Story Maker Journals, I wanted to make learning fun and add an element of creativity where they were storytellers. Giving them the freedom to tell their story and add pictures, helps children to want to dive into the learning process.

These Story Maker Journals can be for ages 4-7 for kiddos
who are learning to make their writing legible, or for older children for still
struggle with this task. A child’s academic
career needs to have legible handwriting not only for parents and teachers but
also for themselves. Taking notes and when
writing drafts for reports or other story work will be an important part of their
academic journey. By encouraging
students to have good handwriting skills, we are helping to build a better
understanding of their future in learning and achievement well beyond their
school years.
